Happy November! I haven’t been willing to accept that it’s November because it was still around 86°F for the past couple of days. Meteorologists are projecting the high temperature to be in the 70s today! YAY! So, I am celebrating the cooler weather with the typical, probably overdone Give Thanks free printable.
If you’re anything like me, it’s nice to have these little reminders. Especially because it’s so hot outside! I seriously don’t feel like the holidays are approaching. Then, I remember that people in Florida and southern California celebrate holidays nearly every year with warm weather. WEIRD.
One passage of scripture that is always used this time of year is 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
I love this. God’s will for us is to be joyful and grateful in all things. We are to pray without stopping. Can you imagine how much better and fruitful our lives would be if we just lived by this?
Okay, now I am feeling hypocritical because I guess I should be rejoicing that we had some extra days of warm weather and sunshine, so I’ll just get to the good stuff.
