Okay, so I know it has been MONTHS since I last posted. My husband and I found out right before Christmas that we are expecting a baby late this summer!! After battling months of (all day) morning sickness, I’m finally feeling human and like myself again. Here’s to getting back in the swing of things!
Regarding our little one’s upcoming arrival, I have wrestled with the idea of bringing a child into a broken world, especially considering how things seem hopeless and people appear to be more divisive than ever before. I completely understand why so many people decide not to have children. Despite this, does it mean that we should deny some of life’s moments of joy and celebration? No. Not for me. In fact, I think it is part of pursuing joy. Maybe that is selfish. But after all, God said to be fruitful and multiply. So, we are just doing our part to further the Kingdom ;-]
Be the Change
So.. this brings me to today’s printable. I want my children to have hope and believe that they can make the world a better place. Ultimately, my hope is that they follow Jesus, spread His love, and speak of His grace. I’m grateful to be a part of a generation that believes they have a voice and can make a change. I just REALLY wish many of these people (regardless of what side of an issue they’re on – even those that I agree with) would treat each other with kindness and respect. I don’t know if it’s due to social media or what, but people can be so mean. So my request for all people is to stand up for what you believe, spread your message, but please just do it nicely. Be the Change, but do it Kindly.
